What do the Status labels 'Active', 'Pending', and 'Expired' mean?

Last updated on Aug 27, 2026

Short Answer: Active means the member accepted access; Pending means an invitation was sent but not yet accepted; Expired means the invitation link has expired and must be resent.

PreRequisites

  1. Open Settings > Team and view the 'Status' column

Steps

  1. Open the Team page and look at the 'Status' column for each member.
You will see badges such as 'Active', 'Pending', and 'Expired'.

  2. If you see 'Pending', you can edit or remove the invite; if you see 'Expired', use the envelope icon to re-invite.
You know which action to take depending on the status.

Troubleshooting

  1. A member stays 'Pending' for a long time.
LikelyCause: Recipient hasn't accepted or email delivery issues.
Action: Confirm the Email address, ask the recipient to check spam, and re-send the invitation if needed.

  2. Invitation shows 'Expired'.
LikelyCause: Invitation link expired before acceptance.
Action: Use the envelope icon to re-invite the user or remove and send a fresh invite.

Note: The UI shows these status badges in the 'Status' column next to each member.
