Short Answer: Set the correct 'Header row' so the header row is recognized, then select the proper column under 'Amount'; if needed, use 'Add column' to create a derived column.
PreRequisites
-
Open the report's 'Configure file' modal
-
Data preview visible
Steps
-
Open the 'Configure file' modal for the report.
'Data preview (20 rows)' is visible. -
Set 'Header row' to the number where column names appear so headers are detected.
Column names populate in the dropdowns. -
Select the correct column in the 'Amount' dropdown.
The Amount column is assigned and preview shows numeric values. -
If you need a computed amount column, use 'Add column' in the Data preview area and create the column, then select it as 'Amount'.
New column appears and can be selected as Amount.
Troubleshooting
-
'Amount' dropdown has no correct column or values look non-numeric.
LikelyCause: Header row mis-detected or amount cells include text/formatting.
Action: Adjust 'Header row' until correct headers appear; if values include currency symbols or commas, normalize the source file so amounts are numeric. -
I don't see an 'Add column' option.
LikelyCause: You may be in a limited view or the UI is scrolled.
Action: Scroll the Configure file modal to the top-right of the Data preview area to find 'Add column'.
Note: 'Date (optional)' may be left unset; Amount must be assigned for reconciliation to calculate sums.
