What does the 'Difference' shown on cards and in the modal represent?

Last updated on Aug 31, 2026

Short Answer: The 'Difference' is the net amount difference between Side A and Side B for that card or matched group displayed at the card bottom or modal footer.

PreRequisites

  1. Open the report and the relevant card or matched pair modal.

Steps

  1. Locate the 'Difference' value on the summary card or at the bottom of the 'Matched transaction details' modal.
You see the numeric difference for example 3,123.00 in Total or 0.00 in the modal.

  2. If Difference is non-zero, open the detailed list Fully/Partially/Unmatched and inspect the individual transactions to identify which items cause the delta.
You can trace which transactions contribute to the difference.

Troubleshooting

  1. Card 'Difference' contradicts per-transaction details.
LikelyCause: Some transactions contributing to totals are in other match categories or filters are active.
Action: Clear filters, switch between match tabs and inspect the detailed rows to reconcile totals.

Note: Difference color-coding highlights the magnitude/priority of the discrepancy; open details to resolve differences.
