Troubleshooting
-
Book totals are reversed compared to statement totals.
LikelyCause: Wrong net amount interpretation. Books note says 'Net amount = Debit - Credit'.
Action: Open 'Configure file - Books' and confirm the 'Separate debit and credit columns' option and that Debit/Credit dropdowns are correctly assigned. -
Expected identifier columns are missing from Reference / Identifier.
LikelyCause: Header row chosen incorrectly.
Action: Adjust the header row number until the correct column labels appear in the preview, or use 'Add column' to expose a missing column.
Note: Books modal help text reads 'Net amount = Debit - Credit' — use that to verify the correct debit/credit mapping.
