How do I edit mapping or remove an uploaded file from Books or Bank statement?

Short Answer: Click the pencil icon on a file tile to edit its mapping or click the trash icon to remove the file from the Books or Bank statement panel.

PreRequisites

1. Files are uploaded and visible in the Books / ledger or Bank statement panels.

Steps

1. On the Bank Reconciliation setup page locate the file tile inside 'Books' or 'Bank statement'.
   File tile is visible with pencil and trash icons.

2. Click the pencil icon on the file tile to open 'Configure file - Books' or 'Configure file - Bank statement' and edit mappings.
   Configure modal opens for editing.

3. Make mapping changes, verify the preview, then close the modal.
   Mappings updated for the file.

4. To remove the file, click the trash icon on the file tile.
   File is removed from the upload panel.

Troubleshooting

1. Pencil or trash icons not visible on the tile.
   LikelyCause: Tile might be minimized or you may lack the required permission.
   Action: Hover or expand the tile area to reveal icons and refresh the page; contact admin if icons remain missing.

2. Removed file reappears after refresh.
   LikelyCause: Changes weren't saved or the file exists in a shared repo.
   Action: Remove again and verify any confirmation prompts; check source where file was imported from.

Note: Editing mappings uses the same 'Configure file' modals for Books and Bank statement.
