How do I dismiss the notifications popover or account menu?

Short Answer: Click anywhere outside the popover/menu, press Esc, or click the same top-right icon/avatar again to close it.

Steps

  1. Click outside the open popover or account menu.
    The popover/menu closes.

  2. Alternatively, press the Esc key on your keyboard.
    The popover/menu closes.

  3. Or click the same top-right icon bell or avatar PS you used to open it; that toggles the popover/menu.
    The popover/menu toggles closed.

  4. If the popover/menu remains visible, reload the page to reset the UI.
    UI resets and the popover/menu is closed.

Troubleshooting

  1. Popover or menu stays visible and can't be closed.
    LikelyCause: A front-end script error or modal overlay conflict.
