What should I do if I accidentally click delete and see a 'Delete' confirmation modal?

Short Answer: If you see a 'Delete' confirmation modal after clicking to remove a file, click 'Delete' to confirm removal or 'Cancel' to keep the file.

PreRequisites

  1. You have triggered a file delete from the uploaded file card

Steps

  1. When the confirmation modal appears, read the prompt carefully to confirm which file you are deleting.
Modal identifies the action and file to be deleted.

  2. If you want to proceed, click the red 'Delete' button in the modal to remove the file.
File is removed and the upload area returns to an empty state.

  3. If you clicked delete by mistake, click 'Cancel' to keep the uploaded file.
Modal closes and file remains attached.

Troubleshooting

  1. After confirming delete, the file still appears attached.
LikelyCause: UI didn't refresh or a backend error prevented deletion.
Action: Refresh the page. If the file still appears, try deleting again or contact support with a screenshot.

  2. I cannot click 'Delete' in the modal.
LikelyCause: Button disabled due to outstanding processes or insufficient permissions.
Action: Wait for any upload/process to finish and try again; if disabled due to permissions, contact your admin.

Note: The confirmation modal uses a prominent red 'Delete' action to prevent accidental file removal.
