What do the totals and 'Difference' on the summary cards mean?

Last updated on Sep 08, 2026

Short Answer: Each card compares Books/ledger vs Credit card statement totals and the 'Difference' shows the numeric gap for that category. Green 0.00 means balanced.

PreRequisites

  1. You have run a reconciliation and are on the summary page.

Steps

  1. Open the reconciliation summary page and read the cards titled 'Total', 'Fully matched', 'Partially matched', 'Unmatched', and 'Skipped'.
Each card shows Books/ledger and Credit card statement amounts and transaction counts.

  2. Locate the 'Difference' value on the card to see the numeric gap for that category.
Difference indicates reconciliation balance for that card; green '0.00' indicates no discrepancy.

  3. Click the card or open the matching tab Fully matched, Partially matched, Unmatched to view row-level details below.
Detailed rows and per-row differences are visible.

  4. Drill into specific rows by clicking the row to open 'Matched transaction details' for forensic review.
You can inspect the paired records and match basis to find causes of differences.

Troubleshooting

  1. The 'Total' card shows a non-zero Difference.
LikelyCause: There are unmatched or partially matched transactions or mapping issues.
Action: Inspect 'Partially matched' and 'Unmatched' tabs, review mappings in Configure file modals, correct data, and re-run reconciliation.

Note: Cards display both amounts and transaction counts for Books/ledger and Credit card statement.
