Short Answer: Use All open transactions and + Add Filter to widen your search; check both panels, remove restrictive filters, then rebuild selections until Difference is 0.

PreRequisites

  1. Manual match transactions modal is open.

Steps

  1. Click All open transactions at the top-right of the modal to ensure you're viewing all open items.
Full lists of open transactions are displayed.

  2. Click + Add Filter in the panel(s) to broaden or remove filters that may be hiding the missing transaction.
Adjusting filters reveals additional rows to check.

  3. Look for related small-value lines fees, partial payments that could account for the remaining Difference and include them in selection.
You identify lines that let the sums reach 0.

  4. If the transaction still cannot be found, pause and consult your vendor statement or accounting colleagues for any items not recorded in Books / ledger.
You either find the missing item or decide on the next steps manual adjustment outside this modal.

Troubleshooting

  1. No matching line exists in either panel to close a small residual Difference.
LikelyCause: The missing transaction may not have been imported/created in the system yet.
Action: Check source documents vendor statement, re-import or create the missing book entry if appropriate, then reopen Manual match transactions to complete the match.

Note: If you must create or import a missing transaction, that action is outside the Manual match modal and should be done in the source register before returning to match.
