My file didn't appear after I uploaded it — what should I check?

Last updated on Sep 10, 2026

Short Answer: If a file doesn't appear after upload, check network connectivity, try the upload again, verify the file type/size, and confirm you have edit permissions.

PreRequisites

  1. Be signed in.

  2. Have the original file available to retry upload.

Steps

  1. Confirm the upload completed by watching any progress indicator and refresh the page.
If upload completed, the file should appear after refresh.

  2. Verify the file extension example shown in the UI: MTR_B2B-AUGUST-2026-A2MSIATZ94LZVT.csv and try a compatible format if needed.
A supported file type appears in the list.

  3. Retry the upload by clicking '+ Add more files to Books' and selecting the file again.
The file uploads and is listed.

  4. If the problem persists, try a different browser or network connection and check for any error messages.
If an error is reproducible, capture the message and contact support.

Troubleshooting

  1. Upload progress starts but finishes with an error or the file never appears.
LikelyCause: Server error, network interruption, or the file was rejected by validation.
Action: Retry the upload, try a different network, reduce file size, and if it still fails, contact support with the filename and time of the attempt.

  2. No upload progress is shown.
LikelyCause: Client-side blockage browser extension or script failure.
Action: Disable browser extensions ad blockers, enable JavaScript, or try in an incognito window.

  3. I get a permission error when adding files.
LikelyCause: Your account lacks edit access to Books.
Action: Request upload/edit permission from an administrator or use an account with the required role.

Note: Use the visible example filename .csv as a reference when checking file types. Collect any error text when contacting support.
