How do I use the output from another report as a data source?

Short Answer: Click '+ Add data' and choose 'Use output from another report' to select an existing Cointab report's result as your data source.

PreRequisites

  1. Be signed in to Cointab.

  2. Have at least one existing Cointab report with output available to use.

Steps

  1. On the New report page click '+ Add data'.
    The 'Add data' modal opens.

  2. Select 'Use output from another report'.
    The workflow to choose an existing report opens.

  3. Choose the report whose output you want to use as a data source and follow any on-screen prompts.
    The selected report's output becomes available as the data source.

  4. Click 'Add data' to load the sample rows into the New report preview.
    Sample rows appear and you can configure Rows/Columns/Values.

Troubleshooting

  1. No reports listed to choose from.
    LikelyCause: There are no existing reports with saved output or you lack permission to view them.
    Action: Run the source report first, check your permissions, or use another data source like upload.
