Why can't I choose row, column or value fields in the report editor?

PreRequisites

  1. Open New report page.

  2. Be signed in.

Steps

  1. Look at the right panel under Rows, Columns, and Values for the message 'Add data before choosing row fields' or 'Add data before adding values.'
    You see messages indicating data must be added first.

  2. Click '+ Add data' and choose a data source reconciliation, another report, or upload.
    A data source is selected and sample rows load.

  3. Confirm the sample table and column headers appear 'Sample data · first 25 valid rows'.
    Columns are available to add to Rows/Columns/Values.

  4. Select fields from the available columns under Rows, Columns, and Values.
    Fields are added and preview updates.

Troubleshooting

  1. Fields are still not selectable after adding data.
