Short Answer: Click '+ Add filter', pick a field from 'Filter by', choose an 'Operator', enter a value in 'Value', then click 'Apply filters' to apply the filter.

PreRequisites

  1. Be signed in.

  2. Open the report page.

  3. Have at least one report field available for example: State, Sales Amount.

Steps

  1. Click '+ Add filter' above the table.
    The 'Filters' modal opens.

  2. In the 'Filters' modal, under 'Filter by' click the dropdown labeled 'Select field' and choose the field to filter for example, State.
A field is selected for filtering.

  3. Select the 'Operator' default shown is 'Equals'.
    Operator is set e.g., Equals.

  4. Enter the filter value in the 'Value' field that shows 'Enter value'.
    The filter value is entered.

  5. Click 'Apply filters'.
The report table updates to show rows that match the filter.

Troubleshooting

  1. 'Select field' dropdown shows no fields.
LikelyCause: Report has no available columns Report structure shows 'Columns: None' or source data was not added.
Action: Open 'Report details' to check 'Report structure' and 'Data used'; if data is missing, use 'Add files & update report' to upload source files.

  2. 'Apply filters' does not change results.
LikelyCause: Operator/value mismatch or the filter value does not match any rows.
Action: Verify the correct 'Filter by' field and try different 'Operator' or confirm exact values in the 'Sales' tab.

  3. 'Apply filters' button appears disabled.
    LikelyCause: Required inputs are empty.
Action: Enter both a field under 'Filter by' and a value in 'Enter value' before clicking 'Apply filters'.

Note: Use exact field values and correct operator type text vs numeric to get expected matches.
