Short Answer: In Subtotals, toggle 'Row subtotals' and/or 'Column subtotals'; subtotals require the report to have more than one row or column field.
PreRequisites
-
The report must have more than one row field to enable Row subtotals or more than one column field to enable Column subtotals.
-
A dataset is added so row/column fields can be created.
Steps
-
Add the necessary row or column fields so the report has multiple rows or columns.
Report has more than one row or column field available. -
Open the Subtotals section.
You see Row subtotals and Column subtotals toggles and the note: 'Subtotals are available when the report has more than one row or column field.' -
Toggle Row subtotals and/or Column subtotals on to enable subtotals.
Subtotals appear for the applicable groupings in the report.
Troubleshooting
- Subtotals toggles have no effect or are unavailable.
LikelyCause: The report does not have more than one row or column field as required.
Action: Add an additional row or column field until you have more than one; the Subtotals toggles will then be effective.
Note: 'Subtotals are available when the report has more than one row or column field.'
