Why do I see 'Add data before choosing row fields' in the Rows/Columns/Values sections?

PreRequisites

  1. Access to the Report config screen.

Steps

  1. Check the Data used section at the top of the Data tab.
    You see the '+ Add data' button if no dataset is attached.

  2. Click '+ Add data' and attach the dataset you want to use.
    Rows/Columns/Values sections become active and the 'Add data before...' messages disappear.
